Bathroom countertops and surfaces in engineered stone
What acrylic does best in a bathroom is do without seams. The basin is formed from the same sheet as the countertop, and the transition between them cannot be felt by hand. There is nowhere for a joint to collect dirt and nowhere for it to leak.
Basin: integrated or drop-in
An integrated basin means thermoforming: the sheet is heated and takes the shape. There is no seam at all, and the surface wipes clean in one pass. You choose the shape and depth of the basin.
A drop-in basin sits in a cutout in the countertop and is chosen from the catalog — cheaper and faster, and you can replace the basin later without touching the countertop.

Why stone, not tile or chipboard
Engineered stone is not troubled by constant humidity: it is non-porous, does not absorb water and does not swell at the edge like a laminated board.
The surface is renewable — scuffs and light scratches are sanded out rather than requiring a new piece.
